MARY is Blessed among Women JOSEPH is Blessed among Men. Because he was the Beloved spouse of the "Sinless Woman" and the Foster Father of the "Divine Son".
★ He was a Righteous Man.
He is portrayed n depicted by authors n artists as the silent man but according to the Gospel he is the Just man. God blesses the righteous.
★ He was a Family Man.
He took care of his family in all odds and hardships. Family is not merely living together but loving each other.
★ He was a Man of God.
Chosen for a specific purpose, he obeyed the will of God. God operates in man, when man cooperates with God.
★ He was a Man of Work.
He earned his livelihood working as a carpenter. No matter how big or small a work might be what is important is the love and sincerity with which we do it.
★ He is the Man of the Church.
Great intercessor and patron of the Universal Church. One who is close to Joseph will obviously be close to Mary and Jesus.
The gospel mentions 3 phases of Joseph.
1. He PLANS
[to secretly divorce Mary]
2. He DREAMS
[Where in the Angel conveys God's plan]
3. He ACTS
[He takes Mary to his home as His wife]
In life we may PLAN many things and DREAM about greater aims but what is more important is to ACT according to God's will. When our plans and dreams are directed by God they result in greater blessings.
