New Year 2018 with Blessed Virgin Mary.....Happy New Year

The liturgy of this first day of the new year makes us celebrate the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and the world day of peace. If this annual recurrence takes on a particular meaning, every beginning of the year, as we entrust the temporal journey of our life and our history to the Mother of God.

In the octave of Christmas, at the beginning of the new year, the liturgy of the word brings us back to both the moment of Jesus' birth and the subsequent act performed by Joseph and Mary towards that Child who was already at the center of history and marked the history of this humanity with its silent and graceful presence.

Jesus, therefore, brings life, is at the origin of every life and is the term of every life, it is really the Alpha and the Omega of every human and earthly event. From him and in view of him, as believers, we must start, leave or come to him if we want to walk on the path that Christ himself has marked us: the path of peace, mercy, forgiveness, love that opens the doors even of the hardest hearts of men. On the annual world day of peace, which coincides with the first of the year, there is auspicious prayer that the Israelites used as a blessing: May the Lord bless us and keep us. May the Lord make his face shine for us and grant us grace. May the Lord address his face to us and grant us peace ".
