Assisi Nivas, Uricherra, Kanchanpur, North Tripura

In 2006 the Bishop of Agartala invited the Capuchins to look after the pastoral needs of the local Catholics and also to start a school for them. The Catholics who are mostly tribals live in the villages.....very interior....the friars immediately swung into action....young friars full of life and enthusiasm began the missionary work....today the fruits and results are seen....

Brother Walter is assistant parish priest and boarding Incharge....a post novice is rendering his services.....having great time and experience......
The construction of a new friary is under way.....it will be over this month.....the friars will move to the new house and the present residence will be made use as a boarding....the demand for the boarding is always big.....the children otherwise have no access to schools.....

In centre is Br. Roshan, Provincial delegate....very much interested.....for last 12 years he is working in the mission.....very fraternal and motivated......

The temporary sheds where the friars first lived.......
The boarding where the children live.....they are all on annual vacations.....
