The Chapter of Mats in India starts tomorrow





The Provincials and their councilors from 15 jurisdictions, four delegates from 4 delegations of India and Srilanka are arriving one by one. brothers Paul Koenig and Charles Sereginat have already arrived. Charles will be official translator. Paul will be one of the participants. He joins the CCMSI every year for the conference meeting. 
The Friars have met great arrangements for the chapter.nwe are put up in two different buildings. The province of st. Joseph has a minor seminary, a retreat center and senior Friars home. It is good to be with young and old. The climate is pleasant but during the day it is warm a bit. The food is fonna be a treat. We are already having the foretaste of the same. This evening we begin with our prayer followed by dinner.
The general minister and other councilors will be here for the lunch.three of the councilors will not be participating as one couldn't get visa, Pio Murat is with his ailing parents and a brother who went underwent a bypass surgery. Sergio is in Brazile for an enegement which is pre planned earlier. I reached here yesterday morning. No sleep for the whole night. I was upgraded still you know how it is in the flight.
The morning is cool and calm here. You can here all kinds of birds singing. It is beautiful place out here. A river flowing by. The place is filled with all coconut trees. A lot of greenery around. It is good to be here.
The theme for our chapter of mats is: strengthen, renew and witness our capuchin charism in India today. A lot of discussion is expected. We have a well planned program for four days. There are 5 in put sessions by four of our own capuchins and one by a Jesuit priest. 
The general minister would be presnnting a thought provoking talk which he does as always. Be sure we are going to have a fruitful session out here.
