ST. JOSEPH ASHRAM, PARISH AND HINDI SCHOOL, RATENPURA, UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN

we reached to this friary at sunset....it is about 3km away from the Ashram. This friary is built in the village and has a Hindi Medium school and Parish. The school has about 500 students coming from the villages around. The school is not aided by the government. The friars are running with the support of the province and from little fees that are collected from the students.
A good building for the children is provided,,,,,,unfortunately the people around here are not very much in favor of education....the friars along with sisters go in the villages to convince the people to send their children to school
It is a dry area...rains are scanty....

The friary close to the school...

The newly built chapel in the friary....the sisters and friars pray and celebrate Eucharist....sometimes people come....on sundays they use the school Hall as the Church
The friars have hens and other birds......we had one Hen slaughtered for our evening meal...tasty one...

The natural Dam not very close to the Friary but about 40km......its a feast for our eyes.....

On our way to the Railway station we halted to see this Dam....I had my train from Udaipur to New Delhi....15 hours night journey.....

Provincial secretary Jose who travelled with me....gave me good company and arranged all my travels in the Province....he is transferred to Punjab as assistant parish priest....Thank you brother....keep smiling
This is a palace of a queen....according to legend and traditions that the queen got angry and ran away from the King...she built a palace for herself on top of a hill......I am smiling coz i found the story very interesting....Can the queens of today do this....if they do how many Palaces we will have in next generations....funny but true.....
