ST. ANTHONY'S BHAVAN, SURYA NAGAR, GHAZIABAD, MEERUT DIOCESE- 1993

This is a small friary with a small parish attached to it.. It used to be a big parish but when the diocese of Syro-malabar was erected all the Syrian catholics went to the new parish and the old parish is reduced to about 30 latin families....there are some few syrian families still come to Holy Redeemer church looked after by our friars.....this place is amidst the housing colony and on the border of Delhi and Ghaziabad....
 Sunday morning the parishioners first prayed the way of the cross....very active participation....there is a congregation of Franciscan sisters.....they look after the church and also help fathers in pastoral work.....
The backdrop of our Redeemer is designed by one of the friars from st. Joseph's province....it is done well and very attractive...
 Friar Suresh who is the parish priest, Guardian and editor of Indian current.......Friar Agin is assisting him......Indian current is the only national magazine run by the capuchins....it is well read and appreciated by all.....it promotes social and political awareness among the christians....Suresh after his doctorate in social communication is appointed as the editor.....
They also run an NGO which looks after the social activities....it is a government education project....
