Uday Bhavan, Bilaspur - 1968 - Meerut Diocese

It is a mission that was started by Br. Pius, An Italian Capuchin of Tuscany Province. Indian Capuchins arrived in Bilaspur at the invitation of the Italian capuchins who gifted 35 acres of Land to the Indian Province to being a foundation in the North

The land is cultivated well. From the income they run a Hindi Medium school and an English Medium Primary schools.....they also help many poor families.....But the income is not always stable....rains and floods are common....crops sometimes are not good....but the Lord is always good to them....
Brother Justin, is the parish priest and Guardian....Br. Muthu is the manager and economo of the house.....

The school houses two hundred children......the people around the church are all catholics,,,,,Fr, Pius is already a saint for the people....many come to pray and ask blessings in the name of Fr, Pius
It is a Hindi medium school unto 5th class.....the teachers are paid from the income of the farm...
This is a convent of the Franciscan sisters.....who were invited by Fr. Pius....they are well known here for treating snake bites....they are saviours.....from month of May till October...they get around 15 cases of snake bites every day...two sisters are well qualified nurses.....the injections cost about 20 Euros which they buy but when the people come for treatment in desperation...sisters attend and once the patients get well....they come with request to exempt them from paying....
The Church .....its spacious....there are around 3000 catholics.....

Grotto .....many people from different religion come to pray...especially the relatives of those who are bitten by the snake...
Two friars from kerala who came here as missionaries and died are buried here
Fraternity members.....Muthu, regent Alphonse and Justin, Guardian

school children from both mediums....performed dances and sang for me....

They are very bright and intelligent....most of them are catholics....the mission is here for more than 45 years....school should have been built much before.....

Its time to guide them...story telling works a lot in this part of the world.....and am a big story teller....i don't create stories but only narrate stories...
 distributing sweets....

 Teachers, sisters and friars

when a person is bitten by the snake....the family members catch the snake and bring along to the sisters convent.....most of them don't kill the snake....but they bring to show to sisters so that accordingly they can treat the patients...sisters say that the various types of snakes when they bite the people leave some mark....some get swelling....some snakes bite like pricking needles....once they show the snake the sisters are able to know......after the treatment many of them leave the snakes in the compound of the fathers....many of the snakes die....sisters have collected some of them...they are preserved in bottle with chemical.......
Those who don't come with live snakes the sisters show these dead ones....and the patient and family members point to one of the snakes...sisters immediately begin treatment....many hopeless cases come and the sisters are able to treat and save lives....sisters say that some times dead patients are brought to them and the family members plead them to cure...but its too late to do anything...
Superior of the convent...there are three who are trained to treat snake bites......
