Some Photos of our Kupari Community celebration on 26th December

You see all red Caps....they are our traditional Caps which our forefathers wore....today it is no more done but the community is trying to re-introduce it......I am being honored with a trophy from the president of the association...

the secretary of the association was very happy to see me as i made it to the program. They are all young men working but devoting a lot of time for promotion of culture and language

I am in pensive mood as i listen to some of the prominent speakers of our community....it was a great feeling to listen to the history of our community.....
Some people were given awards and gifts by the association....in the background you see all priests from our community...there are more than 500 priests from our community...

some lighter and jovial moments....

Watching a small skit put up by some young boys and girls depicting our culture of Vasai Kupari Catholics

I hope to keep this smile till my last breath.....i was happy to be there for the function....some moments bring out the best in us.....

This is how our forefathers carried vegetables to the Market.....
Dance is a part of our culture....for feasts and weddings ...dancing is common....

This is Fr. Francis D'Britto, a well known writer and social activist....he has received many awards national and international....we were meeting after a long time...
