Morning session of General Council Meeting

Br. Luca Bianchi, president of the Institute of Franciscan Spirituality, Rome. He presented this morning his annual report. He took over this semester after Br. Paul Martinelli, who is elected as the auxiliary Bishop of Milano. He is carrying forward the good work of his predecessor. He said that the number of students is good enough and the participation on the part of the Capuchins is very high. The programs and studies undertaken are of high standard and quality. The professors are well trained and are also teaching in other universities of Rome. He made mention of the various programs undertaken in the name of Institute of Spirituality

Fr. Joe presenting and sharing his experience working for JPIC, Br. Benedict who is heading our office is also doing a lot of work.....
In the later half of the morning session we had Fr. Joe Rozansky OFM, incharge of the JPIC who explained to us how the OFMs work in JPIC. He is been there for last ten years and shared his wonderful and positive experience woking for Justice and peace. He shared his happy moments as well as some not so happy moments too. It is not easy to get collaboration and cooperation from friars when they are not interested in a particular ministry. Joe has been successful in this field and has vast and positive experience which definitely would help our office of JPIC. Thanks Joe and we wish you all the very best. God bless your endeavors and plans for justice, peace and ecology.
