Shanthi Ashram, Coimbotore

This friary is one of the oldest friary in Tamilnadu. It was initially a curia for the United Province of India. Today it is a friary which has a formation house, school and parish. There are 8 friars and 7 postulants. The friars have got a lot of pastoral work here. Its a busy parish and very active parish too. Br. Raja , the vicar provincial is the parish priest and guardian. Br. Jonathan, the first provincial of Tamil Nadu is the vicar of the house. There are three young friars who are well integrated with the senior friars.


The friary has got many varieties of birds.....hens and love birds too!!!!!!
