Happy Feast of St. Thomas Apostle

Today all preachers would highlight on one aspect of Thomas's doubting. Many would speak about his missionary spirit and zeal, still some speak about his journey to India and evangelization in India. What made Thomas to be so famous according to me was his faith and his personal experience of the Lord. he doubted but he asked for more to be confirmed and be made solid in order to give to the world that experience. He did believe in Jesus and his ministry, accepted the Words of the master, he lived according to those words. But having the personal experience of the Master in order to share with the others is outstanding in the life of St. Thomas.
Today for Indian Christians its day of thanksgiving and gratitude to the Lord for having guided Thomas to evangelize our Land. His words, life and witness has borne many fruits and many more are still to come. Indian church is vibrant and active today. What the church received from Thomas is now being shared with others. Indian priests and religious are now missionaries in many parts of the world. Give what you have received to those who have not yet received. Let us pray for all the missionaries so that their personal experience of the master might help in building the church and establishing the Kingdom of Peace, love and forgiveness.
