An Award for Br. John Antony OFM Cap


An Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education has honored Br. John Antony, the ex-general councilor from India with an award. This award is give for his contribution in the field of psychology.  He has authored about 17 books on various themes. The books have received a critical admiration and been accepted by all. He has vast experience in the field of counseling which he has been doing it for number of years. While he was the provincial of united Tamilnadu he started Anughra, a centre for counseling. This centre now has become a national centre as many religious, priests and laity attend courses from all over India.  This center has been his brainchild and to run it he promoted many young friars to study psychology in various parts of the world.
After he finished his term as the general councilor, he returned to teaching in Anughraha. Now he is member of north Tamil Province and since two years he has begun the same counseling courses in his province.  As a provincial he had put up the structure for the same purpose. Today it is serving as a centre for counseling. It is slowly becoming popular and in future this centre will attract many people from all walks of life.

 Br. John Antony is in Krishnagari about 90Km from Bangalore. He is the Director of an animation center here.
