Obedience and Authority by Pio Murat

This morning we began our session with padre Pio on the theme Obedience and Authority. He spoke in French but there was a translation in various languages. After explaining the words obedience and authority with etymological meaning he gave a short introduction to the theme. He asked questions like spontaneously, how would i present authority and obedience in religious life? In what ways can the etymology of the word authority and obedience through light on my service of the brothers?
He then spoke about Francis' way of exercising the ministry of authority by quoting the letter to Br. Leo and Admonition III. He posed two questions what elements of Franciscan spirituality seem important for my service to the Brothers?
What difficulties do i encounter in the exercise of authority as st. francis describes?
In conclusion he said that brothers are called to inspire. the brothers have placed their trust in you.
Finally another two questions: in the ministry entrusted to me, what means do i see as important ton exercise authority and inspiration among the brothers?
how can i be proactive in helping the brothers to face the challenges of individualism and gentrification?
