A great and humble Capuchin Friar Aurelio, well know among the friars as Laito passed away last year on 3rd of Feburary. Today, his province definitely would be observing his 1st death anniversary. Yesterday in Frascati where spent some years as the member of General Formation Counil celebrated a Eucharist for his soul. From the General Curia a good number of Friars attended this mass. It was an expression of gratitude to a friar who loved formation and friars in Formation. I have some vivid memories of Friar Laito while studying in Rome. He came to college for preaching a recollection to the College community. He spoke about the formative years as the best years and one should not take them for granted but live them in fullness.
As we all know he was the General Vicar of the Order and before that he was General Councilor. In his capacity as a councilor he has worked hard in the provinces. A friar who was loved by one and all. He served his province as provincial and many other offices he carried out faithfully as a true son of St. Francis of Assisi. He died last year in his sleep. Let us keep praying for the dear departed soul of Friar Laita.
