Collecting Art pieces, Statues and Frames for General Curia

The month of our re-entry to via piemonte is fast approaching. Towards the end of August we should start moving to Piemonte. Though the Curia is renovated it still has the look of a new house and it needs some new as well old things to get back into the original shape. There have been different friars working towards making the renovated curia a house that will look nice and good. These friars are doing everything possible to make the entry a memorable one for all.
Br. Pio Murat has been going round here in Italy and other parts of Europe collecting old statues, some good pieces of art, good pictures and frames. as many of you may not know about Pio who is an artist himself and has a great taste, love and interest in the Byzantine art. Wherever he goes and sees something good and beautiful he thinks of the general curia. So far has collected good many beautiful pieces of art and he is still doing it. He wants art from all over the world to give a feeling of an Internationality of our Order. If you have something good which can be used in the General curia you are most welcome to contact Pio Murat.

Last week he visited San Giovanni Rotondo, foggia province, the provincial and friars are always and over generous in donating many things. They have donated a beautiful statue of St. Padre Pio which is made of a solid wood. If you look at the statue you feel that Padre Pio is looking and smiling at you. It is an attractive statue of Padre Pio.
