Visit to Arezzo

This morning we drove about 220Km to a place called Arezzo in the Province of Toscana. We went to pay a condolence visit to the family of  Br. Antonio, our procura who lost his cousin's husaband in an road accident. It was a brutal accident where the young man of 44 years old on way to work on a scooter was knocked down by a huge truck. He died on the spot and the face was beyond recognition. A young man with twins of five year old. They are like angels and dont understand why so many people visiting their sweet home. But they have been asking for Dad since yesterday. He died yesterday morning. Let us pray for this young man's soul and his family. May the Lord grant eternal rest to him. Let us pray that the woman may have the courage to accept the loss of her husband.

After visiting the family and the morgue, we visited the capuchin friary of the Tuscany province. This friary too is 500 years old. Once upon a time this friary used to house about 15 friars but today they have just four senior friars. They look after the Third Order Franciscans and render their service to the local church. It is an amazing friary, very quite and silent. Once you enter in, you feel invited to enter into interior silence. I would love to go back and spend some time for personal reflection and prayer.
The little chapel of the Friary which is frquented by the people from the city.
The beautiful view from one of the rooms of the friary.
The long and silent corridors of the friary

It's me in the Garden.
The Guardian cooks as they don't have a cook. He said that they take turns and cook every day. It's fun to be in the Kitchen. he cooked a lovely Italian lunch for us.
 Pasta is getting ready!
