I was in Provincial Curia for the new Year celebration. All the friars joined me for the mass with the Parishioners. The Church was packed to its capacity and chairs were added later on as the number of faithful increased. Before the Eucharist the Provincial Minister conducted the Holy Hour along with the parishioners. After the Mass the parishioners wished each other with music and dance. To sweeten the mouths and to welcome the new year cake pieces were distributed. There is a tradition of burning the Old man sharp at 12 midnight. It's fun to watch the effigy of old man being burnt, the youth would cry and make fun as they bid good bye to the Old year and welcome the new year.
The new year Lunch in Provincial curia was great and the friars all gathered around 12pm for a get together followed by a Lunch.
I left last night for Rome via Dubai. I reached Rome around 1pm. The flight was good and enjoyed the flight as i was upgraded to Business class with my miles. Great experience travelling in Business class.
