Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

It was my dream to be a pilgrim in Medjugorje ever since I read and heard about it. Though the Church has not yet given its approval still people who have faith in Mother Mary do pay a visit. I have a heard that many people go and get converted, reconciled and changed. It is Gods grace that works there in Medjugorje. I have been offered this pilgrimage by a parish in Padova. The parishioners every year organize this pilgrimage. I am happy to be part of this group. I longing and expecting a good spiritual experience.

"Cari figli! Anche oggi vi invito alla preghiera. Il vostro rapporto con la preghiera sia quotidiano. La preghiera opera miracoli in voi e attraverso di voi perciò figlioli la preghiera sia gioia per voi. Allora il vostro rapporto con la vita sarà più profondo e più aperto e comprenderete che la vita è un dono per ciascuno di voi. Grazie per aver risposto alla mia chiamata".❤️

Local Chapter of Curia Fraternity

After Every General Council Meeting the Curia fraternity celebrates the Local Chapter. It is a moment of celebration and sharing our ideas and richness. This evening we gathered together in one of the small halls of the Collegio for the local Chapter. The Guardian led us into prayer by inviting all the members to pray a Psalm 139. After which he invited the general Minister to announce certain decisions of the General council meeting. The General Minister did this with joy and with a sense of being the elder brother in the fraternity. The Guardian made some announcements for the fraternity.

We then went ahead to conduct election for the fourth councilor in the fraternity. Br. Umberto was elected in the third scrutiny as the councilor.

We then took up the Vademecum of General Curia for revision. The house was divided into five groups and each one had to take two chapters each for reading and discussions. The groups were asked to make suggestions for improving and revising the Vademecum.

The groups went to various rooms to discuss and time alloted was about 45 minutes. The groups seriously read and made suggestions. Each group had a secretary who read out the suggestions and the Guardian took the note of it.
The chapter came to an end around 7.15pm

End of Council Meeting

Two weeks of intense discussion and deliberations of the General Council got over this morning. Yesterday afternoon we invited the general formation council secretariate to discuss the document on the Abuse of minors. The definitory gave some valuable suggestions to make the document more valuable and practical. brothers Jaime and Charles then presented their program for the entire Order.

The Council once again took the suggestions offered by the Congragation for the Institute of Consecrated Life and at length discussed it. There were some points which we needed the expertise of Br. Vincenzo who enlighted us with us practical knowledge.

Br. Mark Schenk left early morning for America to visit his area and then to attend other different programs in the conference.

The rest of will now slowly move out to our areas of aminations. Then we will be back again for the November Council meeting.

The events that are coming up: the Feast of our Father and Founder St. Francsi. celebration will be in Assisi with the Holy Father.

Gratitude expressed towards our collaborators

It was a nice gesture on the part of the Guardian to think of the collaborators in Curia, especially the cook, Laundry woman and two house keepers. They were invited for the Lunch in the refectory where the Guardian thanked them. It was also a moment of celebration of their birthdays. The food was very much Italian but more of Milanese with "Pollaneta" with "Gorgolzolla" cheese. Oh what taste! It was really symptuous meal in honor of these men and women who serve us every day. The Guardian said that without their help and support we can not carry out our works in Curia. a cake was cut by all of them and the General minister opened the Champgne bottle in their honor. Today, indeed it was a feast of collaboration and solidarity with one another. May God bless all our collaborators who make our stay nice and beautiful. Our stay is more capuchin because these men and women are simple and humble. Pray for them and their families.

Clayton and Jean thanking the Lord for the gift of the collaborators
Mark and the rest listening to guardian raising the toast
What a listening ear to Guardian

Blessed among women - our cook and the rest of collaborators

Morning Session of the council meeting

The morning session was not very heavy but it was very interesting. The decisions were taken with regard to nominating a definitor in place Br. Victor who was nominated as the General Councilor from Indonesia. We also discussed something regarding the document on the sexual abuse of minors. It was a long but very fruitful discussion.

Yesterday afternoon we listened to Br. Marek, our Guardian to share his experience of his service to the fraternity. He had a lot of positive things to share. He is doing very well inspite of many jobs assigned to him. he always wears a smile which takes all your blues away. Congratulation Br, Guardian.

We are already thinking about our transfer to renovated curia one year well in advance. Some experts are called to show us what kind of furniture, cuboards and office tables we need in our office and room. This is something very fraternal and useful too.
